| Tim got things underway tonight by leading us all
in the "Pledge To The Flag". After that everyone at
The Pickin' Porch Show sent our regards and heartfelt
thanks out to the many men and women who are proudly serving
our country throughout the world. |

The first group to take the stage this evening was
Acoustic Faith, a fine group that played a mixture of
gospel and current Bluegrass numbers such as "Song For
Life" by
Tony Rice,
"Living Prayer" by
Alison Krauss, and "The Lighthouses Tale" by
the fantastic young band
Nickel
Creek.
Acoustic Faith consists of a father and son duo, Daren
Brooks on guitar and Justin Brooks playing bass
as well as Debi Gollehon on mandolin and guitar.
These folks really put on a great show tonight and we hope
they'll come back real soon.
Daren and Debi are the worship leaders during the acoustic
worship service at the Chilhowie First Church of God
every Sunday at 8:30. You can contact Acoustic Faith via
email at
acousticfaith@comcast.net. |

The entertainment for the second half of this week's
program was a fine group called Bill McCall & Friends,
and the name sure fit tonight when Bill added
Tim
White,
Teddy
Helton, and
Mac Puckett to the mix. The rest of Bill's friends
included John Clark playing harmonica, George
Blevins on autoharp, and Jimmy Carter playing
mandolin.
These guys can pick and sing just about anything, and
tonight they treated the crowd to Bluegrass standards
including "Back To The Old Home" and "32 Acres"
as well as the 1950's country hit "Fraulein" and the
classic
Jim Reeves song "He'll Have To Go". |

Well, that wraps up yet another fun evening of great
music and good times. Join us next week when
The VW Boys
will be the scheduled performers.
