| Welcome to this week's Pickin' Porch Show. This
week's show featured a fine group from the
Greeneville/Jonesborough, Tennessee area called the
Lost Mountain String Band. |

| The Lost Mountain String Band consists of Susan
Greineder on fiddle, Greg Fields on banjo,
John Pruett on bass, Rob Chittum on guitar &
harmonica, and Eric Chubb on mandolin. |

| The crowd really enjoyed these folks and the unique spin
they put on some wonderful old-time tunes. John Pruett laid
down his bass and whistled the breaks in "The Cuckoo is a
Pretty Bird" - and received a rousing round of
applause when finished! |

| Greg Fields sang a beautiful rendition of
"Steals of the White Man", a haunting tune about the trials of the
American Indian. |

| The audience was treated to several old standards
including "Darlin' Corey",
"Shortnin' Bread", "Sally Ann", and
"Mountaineers Courtship", a song that was
performed by
The Stoneman Family in the infamous Bristol Sessions
some 80 years ago. |

| We also enjoyed captivating ballads like "Bright
Smile Haunts Me Still" and "Those Two Blue Eyes". |

Well, we've come to the conclusion of another wonderful
evening here at the Pickin' Porch. We invite you to
come by next week and visit with us as we enjoy the music,
magic and comedy of
The VW Boys.
Take care!
