| Everyone was back together at the Pickin' Porch
this week after spending last Thursday with their families.
Tim informed the crowd of the special December
Christmas show with
Song of the Mountains headlining Jim Lloyd. He
also let us in on the Leon Kiser Memorial honorees
for 2008. They are Papa Joe Smiddy, Curly King
and Mac King. This show will be held in February and
will include many local acts. Stay tuned for more
information. |

| We had a real treat tonight with
The Midnight Ramblers, a fine group of young folks
from the Wise, Virginia area. On guitar was Marcus
Johnson... |

| Playing banjo was Abram Mullins... |

| Austin Boggs was on mandolin and singing most of
the vocals... |

| and Cherise Bates was on bass. |

| This was the third time for these musicians to grace our
stage and they didn't let the crowd down. They picked rippin'
instrumentals like "Foggy Mountain Special" and
"Clinch Mountain Backstep". They pleased the audience
with tunes from their debut album "When The Fog Rolls In"
and also featured songs from their up-coming CD produced by
Tim Stafford. If you want to find out more, log on
to

Come out to the Bristol Mall located on the Gate City
Highway in Bristol, Virginia next week as we have Addie
Keene and Glen Bolick scheduled to entertain us.
It's sure to be a very fun filled evening!
