| Welcome back to The Pickin' Porch Show! As we do
each week, Tim began tonight's show by leading the
audience in the "Pledge to the Flag" and asking
everyone to support our troops who are stationed all over
the world. He also reminded everyone about the upcoming
Curly Seckler Day to be held at the Pickin' Porch
on January 6 at 3pm. |

| This week we enjoyed a special appearance by crowd
favorite
Lightnin' Charlie Dolinger from Johnson City,
Tennessee. Charlie has been voted favorite musician/group in
the Mountain South by the readers of
Marquee Magazine for two years in a row. Congratulations
Charlie! |

| Lightnin' Charlie can pick and sing any number of
genres, but my personal choice is his version of 50's and
60's style Rock-n-Roll. He does a wonderful rendition of
"Runaround Sue" made famous by
Dion and the Belmonts in 1961. |

| Tim and
Mac Puckett took the stage while Charlie took a
short breather. Both Tim and Mac are excellent musicians,
and they pleased the audience with spirited instrumentals
like "Fireball Mail" and "Foggy Mountain Rock". |

| Charlie retook the stage and joined Tim and Mac in a
sensational rendition of "Sitting On Top Of The World". |

Charlie finished up tonight's show with the wonderful
Christmas standard "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
and the patriotic song "America The Beautiful".
Join us next week for a special Pickin' Porch event.
Tomahawk will be here for the annual fund-raising celebration
in support of Danny Minton's
Heritage in Music program.
This wonderful program encourages
the youth of our region to embrace the musical legacy of the
Appalachians. We will be extending our hours until 10:00pm,
and will be having a jam session format featuring the
area's top entertainers as well as students from the program.
We
will request a $5.00 donation at the door, and all proceeds
will go to benefit the kids.
