Highlights
from December 14, 2006 |
| Tim got tonight's show underway with the "Pledge
To The Flag", then he wished everyone a Merry Christmas
and asked us to remember our brave young men and women in
uniform who will be spending the holidays serving our
country overseas. |

| String Fever took the stage and proceeded to pick
and sing a long line of old Bluegrass favorites including "Blue
Ridge Mountain Home" and "Shucking The Corn". In
keeping with the season, they also treated the audience to a
very pretty rendition of "Jingle Bells"! |

| Next, Tim invited the always jolly Ed Carter to
come up on stage and tell a joke or two. He did, and as
usual the crowd roared with laughter - both at the jokes and
the delivery! Ed sure knows how to work a crowd! |

| The second half of the show belonged to young Adam
Larkey. Although he is a mere 10 years old, Adam is
already quite an accomplished fiddle player and showman, and
he proved it tonight by expertly performing "East
Tennessee Blues", "Ragtime Annie", "Nine Pound
Hammer", "Tennessee Waltz" and a number of other
old favorites! |

| Several youngsters from the audience climbed on
stage, stepped up to mic, and sang the classic children's
gospel song "Jesus Loves Me". They did a great job,
and everyone in the Comfort Systems USA Performance
Center let them know it with a thundering applause! |

| The highly entertaining
Mac
Puckett was still in town, and at Tim's urging he
took the Pickin' Porch stage to pick and sing a
couple of tunes. He and Tim then remained on the stage to
finish out the show with Adam Larkey and his band. You could
see the amazement in Mac's eye's as young Adam sawed off the
old fiddle standard "Orange Blossom Special" without
missing a lick! |

| Andrew is always a big hit at the Pickin'
Porch, and tonight Grandpa Tim held him up to the
microphone and let him ham it up a bit - which he did to
perfection! It appears that Andrew is destined to be quite a
showman just like his Grandpa! |

It was a very busy night at The Pickin' Porch Show
as one fine act after another took the stage, and next
week's show promises to be just as exciting. Why not come on
out to the Bristol Mall next Thursday at 7:00pm and join us?
