| Tonight's festivities got underway with Tim
welcoming everyone to the Pickin' Porch and leading
the audience in the "Pledge To The Flag". He also
told everyone about the upcoming
Song Of The Mountains concert featuring the
outstanding Bluegrass bands
No
Speed Limit and Cleghorn. |

First up on stage tonight was the
The
Barker Brothers, a fine family band from the area in
East Tennessee where Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina
converge. The Barkers put on an outstanding show, spending
the better part of an hour pickin' and singin' several
Bluegrass classics including "Blue Moon Of Kentucky",
"I'm Working On A Building", and "Rawhide".
These wonderful folks were obviously greatly influenced by
the late, great Bill Monroe, and I'm sure he would
have been well pleased with their fine performance tonight! |

| Funny man Ed Carter took the stage again tonight
to dispense a few more of his wacky jokes, and as usual the
audience roared with laughter - not so much at the jokes but
at the hilarious way Ed told them! He sure knows how to work
a crowd and the Pickin' Porch audience loves him! |

The second half of tonight's show belonged to a group of
very talented young fellows who go by one of the most
intriguing names I've ever heard: 4 Fret Kord. But
don't let the name fool you - these guys can really pick and
sing! They gave fine performances of one great Bluegrass
tune after another including "Sunny Side Of The Mountain",
"Mary Ann", and "Listening To The Rain".
4 Fret Kord spend most of their time these days performing
in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, so on your next Smoky Mountain
vacation be sure to keep an eye out for one of their popular
street-side shows! |

| Suzy (right) and Mandy are two of The
Pickin' Porch Show's most enthusiastic fans and
supporters, and after tonight's show was over they agreed to
pose for this picture. Don't they look great together? |

Well, it was another fast-paced and very entertaining
evening at the Comfort Systems USA Performance Center.
Between all the fine Bluegrass music and side-splitting
comedy there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The outstanding Bluegrass band
Fescue
will provide the entertainment for next week's show, and any
time those guys climb onto a stage you can count on enjoying
a great show. Why not come on out to the Bristol Mall next
Thursday and join in on the fun?
