| Your Bluegrass Buddy Tim White was on the road
tonight, so
Jason Skinner performed the MC duties for
the evening. Jason kicked off the show by leading the audience in the “Pledge To
The Flag", and then he got right down to business by
introducing the show's first group of entertainers... |

| Addie Keen and Friends got things off to a rousing
start. She did a
great job on several old country favorites including
“Pride“, “Do You Remember Me Now“, “Wild
Flowers“, “Great Speckled Bird” and “Worried
Man Blues”. Tom Ratliff on dobro, Bruce Night
on lead guitar and Gary Wood on bass joined Addie in
performing a great dance tune: "Train 45". |

The Skinner Family took center stage for the half
time break.
Alyssa, age 9, and
Zayne, age 12,
sure know how to keep an audience entertained! They do a
wonderful job and their talent is much appreciated. It's
easy to see that mom Jennifer and dad Jason
are proud of their super-talented youngsters, and rightly so!
Glenn Bolick entertained the audience with a homemade
banjo. His friend Charlie Glenn made the banjo and it
has a very special sound. Glenn sang songs his grandmother
taught him as a child, including “The Fox” and
“Ninety-Nine“.
Glenn's guitar was built before 1930 and has
Mother Maybelle Carter's name on the
neck. in fact, it's just like the one in the mural that
hangs behind the stage! Glenn did a great job on a couple of
timeless
Carter Family favorites: “Anchored In Love”
and “Keep On The Sunny Side”. This highly
entertaining performer's sense of humor is reflected in his
songs, and “Straighten Out My Leg” and “Mixed Up
Family” kept the audience laughing all during his set. |

Well, as always we enjoyed yet another wonderful evening
at The Pickin' Porch Show, and we invite you to join
us again next Thursday night when the one and only
Lightnin' Charlie takes the stage. See you there!
