Highlights
from February 21, 2008 |
| Tim kicked off tonight's show in usual fashion by
leading the audience in the "Pledge To The Flag".
Then, after a few short announcements, he introduced the
first group of the evening... |

Valley Grass treated everyone in attendance to a
bunch of wonderful gospel numbers such as "I'll Fly Away",
"I Saw The Light", the Carter Family standard
"Will The Circle Be Unbroken", and many more. Taking
the stage tonight were:
Raymond Campbell on Vocals, Guitar and Mandolin
16 year old C.J. Hubble on Mandolin and Guitar
Heather Gillespie on Bass, Guitar and Vocals
Lib Burriss, Melinda Davis, and Sheri Jones
on Vocals
And our own Tim White helped out on the Banjo. |

Next up were the always popular
Zephyr Lightning Bolts, a fine Old-Time band from
Surry and Wilkes Counties in North Carolina. They performed
a number of wonderful old songs including "Waltz Across
Texas", "Cumberland Gap", and "Rag Time Annie".
The members if this fine group are:
Steve Bowen on Bass
Diane Bowen on Banjo
Eddie Butcher on Guitar
Jacob Bowen on Fiddle |

| Pickin' Porch regulars Debbie and Randy Webb
couldn't help burning up the dance floor to all those great
Old-Time dance tunes! |

Well, another wonderful evening of family entertainment
has come and gone at the Pickin' Porch, but we'll do
it all again next week when The Fall Creek Band will
team up with Dan Moneyhun & Old Friends to treat us
to a whole lot more of that wonderful Appalachian music!
