from February 8, 2007 |
| As always, Tim kicked off tonight's show by
leading the audience in the "Pledge To The Flag".
Next, he reminded everyone about the upcoming
Song Of The Mountains and Leon Kiser Memorial Tribute
shows. He also took a moment to get the crowd laughing by
joking around with funny man Ed Carter. |

| Jim Gates and the Key Keepers kicked off the
evening's entertainment with an outstanding performance of
the Carter Family standard "Wildwood Flower",
after which they treated the audience to one great classic
country hit after another including "Four Walls",
"Kiss An Angel Good Morning", "You Ain't Woman Enough
To Take My Man", and even the George Strait #1 hit
"All My Ex's Live In Texas"! |

| Roy Mullins was back tonight, harmonica in hand,
ready and willing to play a song or two for the appreciative
crowd. And after Tim asked someone in the audience to wake
him up, Roy climbed up on stage and did just that! |

| After Roy finished playing his song on his "French
Harp", he turned the stage over to Ed Carter who
proceeded to crack everyone up with a couple of his
ever-popular jokes. It took only a few seconds for him to
get everyone roaring with laughter - including young
Alyssa Skinner and her mom Jennifer! |

| Next up was The Skinner Family with
Teddy
Helton helping out on standup bass. As they always
do when they take the Pickin' Porch stage, the
Skinners put on a great show pickin' and singin' several
great Bluegrass classics including "Grandfather Clock"
and "Lonesome Road Blues". |

| The highlight of the evening came when the super-quiet,
yet highly popular Teddy Helton made good on a
promise he gave three weeks ago when he said he would be
singing a new song for the audience tonight. It was entitled
"Linda", and as usual it turned out to be quite
funny. Everyone just loves to hear Teddy sing, so maybe we
can talk him into making it a weekly gig! |

Well, another highly entertaining and fun evening at the
Pickin' Porch has come and gone with several
wonderful groups and performers taking their turns on stage.
We invite you to join us again next week when Bluegrass
and Beyond come to town!
