| Andrew was back again tonight sporting a brand
new spiked haircut! This little guy is growing up fast, so
it won't be long before we'll see him up on the stage pickin'
and singin' right along with Grandpa Tim! |

| After leading the audience in the "Pledge to the
Flag", Tim welcomed everyone to the show and
reminded us about the upcoming
Song of the Mountains Festival. Then he told a couple of
jokes, one of which earned him a light-hearted rebuke from
several audience members. But he took it well... much like
your typical scalded dog! |

| Ashton Blaylock and his dad Scott kicked
off the evening's musical entertainment, but instead of the
usual Bluegrass they treated us to a wonderful set of
Country Music tunes, several of which were taken to the top
of the Country charts over the years by none other than
George Strait. He also did an excellent job on one
of my favorite country songs, "Almost Home" by
Craig
Morgan. You'll find more information about Ashton on
www.TodaysPhoto.org. |

| Next up was
Buck Mountain Band, an outstanding group of singers
and musicians from various parts of southwestern Virginia.
These fine folks spent the better part of an hour performing
a number of great songs in the Old-Time music style that is
so popular in the Appalachian region. "Ragtime Annie",
"Kentucky Waltz", "Foggy Mountain Top"... they
kept the old favorites coming for the entire set! |

| Funny man Ed Carter was back again tonight with
still more of his side-splitting jokes, and while he was
talking Tim valiantly kept an eye out for any rotten
tomatoes that might come flying out of the crowd. But
everything turned out just fine! |

| After Ed had left the stage with the audience in
stitches, Tim was joined on the stage by Mac Puckett
and Larry McPeak for a short, but highly entertaining
set. These three guys are some of the best musicians around,
and they always do a great job when they pick and sing
together. |

| The audience received a special treat when Duffield,
Virginia's favorite son Tommy Shortt joined Tim and
the gang on stage to sing a couple of songs, including the
timeless gospel number "This Little Light Of Mine".
Tommy loves coming to the Pickin' Porch, and it's
always great to see him up on the stage singing and playing
his heart out! |

Well, it was yet another fun and exciting evening at the
Comfort Systems USA Performance Center, and next
week's show promises to be just as great. Why not come on
out to the Bristol Mall next Thursday evening at 7pm
and join in the fun?
