Highlights from June 28, 2007
Tonight's Pickin' Porch Show could have just as easily been called The Kody Norris Show! In addition to being the evening's featured entertainer, Kody also filled in for Tim as host - and he did an outstanding job at it!

After welcoming everyone to the show and leading the audience in the "Pledge to the Flag", the Watauga Mountain Boys joined Kody on stage and proceeded to pick and sing one great Bluegrass song after another for the better part of two hours.

Kody and long-time friend Tom Isaacs have been performing together for several years now, and with the help of Tom Mixon on bass and Kenny Price on fiddle, they put on a great show that had the audience yelling out requests and clapping enthusiastically during every song! It was one of the best shows at the Pickin' Porch in quite some time.

As guest host, Kody also did the honors during the weekly door prize drawing for members of the ACMA. Membership dues are only $15 per year, and the money goes to help support the Mountain Music Museum, the Pickin' Porch Show and the preservation of our wonderful Mountain Musical heritage.

Kody Norris and the Watauga Mountain Boys always put on an outstanding show, and tonight was certainly no exception. These fine young men are loaded with talent and showmanship, and there really is no limit to how high they'll be able to climb up the musical ladder. Great job guys!

Join us next week when yet another highly popular entertainer takes the stage: the one and only Lightnin' Charlie!
