| Tim kicked off the evening's festivities by
welcoming everyone to this week's Pickin' Porch Show.
Next, he led the audience in reciting the "Pledge To The
Flag" before reminding us about the next
Song Of The Mountains concert coming up on September 2
at the beautiful
Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia. |

| Tim also welcomed back long-time Pickin' Porch
fan Elizabeth Bowman. It was great seeing Elizabeth
back in the audience tonight after an extended absence due
to some serious health problems. Welcome back, Elizabeth! |

| Charlie Holliday and Free Grass provided the
entertainment for both hours of tonight's show, and what a
show it was! Charlie and the gang did a wonderful job on a
ton of great Bluegrass standards as well as several original
songs written by members of the group. "Nine Pound Hammer",
"Blue Ridge Mountain Home", "Wayfaring Stranger",
"Foggy Mountain Breakdown"...the list just goes on
and on! |

| Charlie is certainly no stranger to the Pickin' Porch
stage. He has picked and sang here many times as a special
guest performer, and tonight he and the other members of
Free Grass had the stage all to themselves - and the
audience loved them! |

| Everyone in the Comfort Systems USA Performance
Center received a special treat tonight when Kasey,
Vanessa and Morgan - AKA The Chick-fil-A
Girls - stepped up to the mic and sang "She'll Be
Coming Around The Mountain" and the ever-popular "Rocky
Top". These adorable young girls had the crowd
applauding them from the get-go! |

| After a bit of coaxing from Charlie, Tim joined the gang
on stage to pick along on a song or two before Free Grass
wrapped up the show with a lively performance of the
timeless Carter Family hymn "Will The Circle Be
Unbroken" - and the audience sang it right along with
them! |

As always, everyone had a fantastic time at tonight's
Pickin' Porch Show. We invite you to join us again next
week when banjo legend E.C. Miller will be joined by
Ronnie Williams & Lori Carter, a very exciting duo
who love pickin' and singin' all of The Carter Family's
wonderful old songs!
