Frank Carmack was at the helm again tonight, and
after thanking everyone for coming out and leading the
audience in the "Pledge of Allegiance", he got right
down to business by letting everyone know that we were in
for a real treat because
Acoustic Heritage was getting ready to take the
stage!
It's quite obvious that Frank has quickly become one of the
group's biggest fans after seeing them perform on The
Pickin' Porch Show and the nationally syndicated
Song Of The Mountains concert series. |

The Pickin' Porch stage has been graced by some
of the finest Bluegrass, Country and Old-Time music
performers in the world, and Acoustic Heritage is
certainly among their ranks. Tim and Debbie Yates have
combined their own unique musical talents to create a
traditional sound that's as sweet as the sweetest honey.
"Bury Me Beneath The Willow", "Nine Pound Hammer",
"Little Maggie"... Acoustic Heritage treated
tonight's audience to one great song after another, songs
that fans of Bluegrass and Old-Time music have heard time
and again - but not like this! When Tim, Debbie and the gang
put their stamp on a wonderful old song it becomes a treat
for the senses! If you have never seen these folks perform,
you simply don't know what you're missing. |

| Tonight's show featured plenty of dance tunes, and
several Pickin' Porch dancers tore up the floor for
the better part of the evening - including crowd favorite
Fred Skeens. |

| Debbie Yates is a multi-talented singer and
musician, and tonight she delighted the audience with some
outstanding instrumental work. Her unique old-time banjo
style will have you wondering just how she coaxes such
smooth and relaxing sounds out of such a "loud" instrument -
and tonight she did the same with a flat-top guitar! |

The second half of the show belonged to the Old
Timers Band, a fine ensemble of singers and musicians
from Washington County, Tennessee. Collectively, these
gentlemen have been pickin' and singin' for a lot of years,
and they put their experience to good use tonight by
treating the audience to rousing performances of such
classics as "Sally Goodin", "Dig A Hole", "Wabash
Cannonball", and many more!
These fellows obviously love making great music, and the
crowd really enjoyed watching and hearing them do it.
Hopefully we'll see them up on the Pickin' Porch
stage again in the near future! |

Well, it was another very enjoyable evening at the
Comfort Systems USA Performance Center as two fantastic
groups treated us to a couple of hours of great Old-Time,
Bluegrass and traditional Country music. We invite you to
join us for all the fun next week when one of the finest
Gospel groups you'll ever hear takes the stage:
Gospel
Grass.
