Tonight's Pickin' Porch Show was hosted once
again by Frank Carmack, and he was really looking
forward to hearing
Gospel
Grass pick and sing. He had heard great things about
their music, but until tonight he had never seen them
perform.
After leading the audience in the "Pledge of Allegiance",
Frank reminded everyone about the next
Song Of The Mountains concert which is coming up on
October 7. This one promises to be a real barn-burner with
none other than Bluegrass legend and
Grand Ole Opry
star
Jesse
McReynolds and his Virginia Boys headlining
an outstanding lineup of performers! |

As mentioned earlier, the outstanding Bluegrass-Gospel
group Gospel Grass had the stage for the entire show
this evening, and the audience loved it! These five
ultra-talented guys can pick and sing in the Bluegrass style
as well as anyone, and each and every song they sing
glorifies the Lord and helps spread His good news.
Gospel Grass has been performing as a group for 20 years
now, and they haven't changed their focus one bit in all
that time. They're quick to point out that they don't get up
on a stage or sell their CD's in order to gain personal fame
or fortune - they do it solely in the service of Jesus
Christ. In fact, they didn't even introduce themselves by
name during tonight's show - only as Gospel Grass. |

| Every member of the group is an accomplished musician,
and they put their instruments to great use this evening on
a host of timeless gospel classics like "I Saw The Light",
"Rank Stranger", "The Old Crossroads" and many
more. But these guys really grab everyone's attention when
they put their amazing harmonies to work on an a cappella
number like "The Old Ship Of Zion". You can tell they
really enjoy singing about the love and sacrifice of their
beloved Saviour, and they do it as well as anyone you'll
ever hear. |

Everyone had a great time tonight as they were treated
to the sweet, moving sounds of Gospel Grass. If you have
never seen these fine men pick and sing before, you owe it
to yourself to find out where they'll be performing next and
head on over there. If you're a Christian, you're sure to
receive a mighty blessing. If you're not, it just might turn
out to be the most important concert you'll ever attend.
We invite you to come on down to the Bristol Mall
again next Thursday night when Tim White and a few of
his friends will burn up the Pickin' Porch stage!
