| It was a very busy evening at the Pickin' Porch
with many talented entertainers and friendly folks taking
the stage during the show. After leading everyone in the "Pledge
of Allegiance", Tim got right down to business by
introducing... |

himself! (along with "friends" Larry McPeak
and Mac Puckett). Tim, Larry and Mac treated the
audience to the better part of two hours of fine pickin' and
singin' on a plethora of great Bluegrass, Traditional
Country and Gospel songs.
They started off with Salty Dog Blues, then quickly
moved on to a couple of great Carter Family tunes
before taking turns leading on a ton of other great Mountain
Music standards! It was a real treat watching three of the
finest performers in the business work their musical magic
together! |

| Andrew and Penny took a few moments to
admire Grandpa Tim's banjo work from the shadows near
the edge of the stage... |

| before helping him out by handing him a pick. Andrew
obviously loves being with Penny and Tim, and the audience
simply cannot get enough of Andrew! He's just so darn cute! |

| There were some special guests from Naples,
Florida in the crowd tonight, and one of them got up several
times during the show to "capture the moment" with her
camera phone. But it turns out that she wasn't the only
out-of-town visitor in the Comfort Systems USA
Performance Center tonight - there were also some nice
folks from Ohio, Arizona and London, England enjoying the
festivities! |

| Tim's long-time friend Ike Mumpower asked
Pickin-Porch fixture Tommy Carroll to come up
onto the stage and give a special rendition of his
always-popular Chick-fil-A slogan "Cow Eat More
Chicken!"...and Tommy just about blew out the mic with
his booming voice! Ike then presented Tommy with a very
special sweatshirt imprinted with a picture of a rocking
chair and the words "Tommy Carroll Loves Bluegrass Music"
- and he does indeed! |

| Next, Tim invited 15 year old Grant Marshall from
Castlewood, Virginia to bring his banjo up onto the stage
and pick a couple of tunes with the guys. This very talented
young man did an incredible job pickin' a couple of banjo
classics: "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" and "Earl's
Breakdown". It wouldn't surprise me a bit if we end up
seeing a lot more of Grant in the future. This young fellow
can really pick! |

| After Tim finally managed to track him down, Roy
Mullins was back on the Pickin' Porch stage after
a long hiatus, harmonica in hand and ready to perform. As
always, he did an outstanding job playing the classics "Home
Sweet Home" and "Cindy". Hopefully it won't take
so long to get Roy back up there again next time! |

| J.C. Price, another long-time friend of The
Pickin' Porch Show made a guest appearance tonight, and
he delighted the crowd with some wonderful singing on the
beautiful Civil War ballad "Will My Soul Pass Through The
Southland?". J.C. is a frequent performer on the
Pickin' Porch, and as always he left everyone wanting
to hear more! |

It was quite an entertaining evening at the Pickin
Porch with several great performers taking their turns
at the mic. The action was fast-paced, yet very relaxing,
and everyone had a wonderful time. Why not come on out to
the Bristol Mall next Thursday at 7 pm and join in
the fun as the fine Bluegrass band Appalachian Trail
takes the stage?
