Tim White opened the show with a few announcements and lead the crowd in the "pledge to the flag".

Tonight's show is dedicated to Mother Maybelle Carter whose grace and beauty still resonate today.

Teddy Helton of Bristol, Virginia played bass. Teddy plays with a local Appalachian and Celtic band Fire in the Kitchen www.fire-in-the-kitchen.com.

Raymond McLain played guitar, banjo and fiddle. Raymond toured many years with his family band "The McLains" and currently is the Director of the Bluegrass and Country Music Program at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Ronnie Wiliams of Spotsylvania, Virginia played guitar, an autoharp Maybelle Carter ordered for him and an accordion the was Helen Carter's.

Rita Forrester of Hiltons, Virginia sang vocals. Rita is the daughter of Janette Carter and the grand-daughter of A.P. and Sara Carter and is currently the director of the Carter Family Memorial Music Center www.carterfamilyfold.org
