Pickin' Porch July 2, 2009

Chris Hunter filled in for Tim White this week and led the audience in the "Pledge to the flag".

Wayne Henderson and Helen White entertained the crowd. They pick together often and recently held concerts in Germany and Switzerland.

Wayne Henderson is a well known musician and luthier from Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. He treated the audience to tunes like "Down Yonder" and "Steel Guitar Rag" as well as his own rendition of "Take me out to the Ballgame".

Helen White is also from Mouth of Wilson, Virginia and played guitar and fiddle. In addition to being a musician Helen is also a singer/song-writer. She entertained the crowd with a self-penned waltz  "April Bride" and sang vocals on tunes like "The Rose of my Heart" and "Sweet Fern".
