Tim White kicked off the show by leading the crowd in the pledge of allegiance. He told the crowd about the upcoming shows at The Carter Fold www.carterfamilyfold.org and The Song of the Mountains www.songofthemountains.org.
The VW Boys www.vwboys.com  or a close resemblance there of treated the audience to lots of great VW Boys songs including the crowd pleas-er "If your nose was running money honey (I'd blow it all on you)". Today's members include Tim White on banjo/guitar, Dave Vaught on guitar, Jack Adams on banjo and Teddy Helton on bass.
11 year old Jack Adams of Kentucky was featured on several instrumentals including the Carter Family standard "Wildwood Flower" and the banjo anthem "Flinthill Special" written by Earl Scruggs.
Lightnin' Charlie stopped by the Pickin' Porch stage and picked and sang a number of requests including the Marty Robbins favorite "El Paso" and even treated the Tennessee Volunteer fans to "Rocky Top".
