Special Show: The Lost & Found and the VW Boys |
A special treat is in store for bluegrass fans on Friday, November
24th at the Bristol Mall in Bristol, VA.
The Lost & Found and
The VW
Boys will be in concert on the Pickin Porch Stage at the Comfort
Systems U.S.A. Performance Center at the Bristol Mall starting at
7:00 pm. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the
Appalachian
Cultural Music Association (ACMA) and the
Mountain Music Museum
which is located on the lower level of the mall.
 The Lost & Found have been favorites of the bluegrass world for over
3 decades. From Ferrum, VA the band was originally formed by Allen
Mills and Dempsey Young. Mills says, “Our name came about because at
the time we were all lost in other bands but found each other
through a mutual love for bluegrass music.” Allen Mills is the bass
player for the band and Dempsey Young is the mandolin picker.
The
Lost & Found have excellent picking abilities and some of the
tightest harmony vocals in the bluegrass world. True professionals
when it comes to putting on a show for the entire family.
“We are looking forward to seeing our many friends in the Tri-Cities
area”, stated Mills “We hope they will all come out to see us”.
 The VW Boys delight audiences of all ages with their combination of
music, magic and comedy.
Together for over a decade, the VW Boys are
Tim White on banjo and vocals, Larry McPeak on bass and vocals and
Dave Vaught provides the magic on stage along with his guitar
picking and vocals. “I will be doing plenty of magic at the show
that night”, says Vaught. He is a professional magician as well as
an accomplished musician and there is something for everyone in a VW
Boys show.
The VW Boys performed two years at Dollywood and have
traveled all over the eastern United States entertaining audiences.
Bluegrass, gospel, humorous tunes…the VW Boys have it all!

The show on Friday November 24th is sponsored by the Bristol Mall,
located just off exit 1 of I-81 along with Bryant Label Co. and
White Sign Co. both of Blountville, TN and. Tickets are $ 15 and are
available at the Mountain Music Museum on the lower level of the
Bristol Mall, Morrell Music in Bristol and Kingsport and Matt
