Highlights from January 25. 2007
Andrew started hamming it up for the camera even before tonight's show got underway, leaving little doubt that he's a star in the making!

Tim kicked off the evening's festivities by leading the audience in the "Pledge To The Flag" and spending a couple of minutes thanking our sponsors for their generous support of The Pickin' Porch Show. He also reminded everyone about the next Song Of The Mountains concert coming up on February 3 at Marion, Virginia's historic Lincoln Theater.

The always entertaining Glenn Bolick was back again tonight to offer up another generous helping of his unique brand of mountain music and classic country. But this time he brought along his brother-in-law Roger Hicks who absolutely thrilled the audience with some masterful guitar work reminiscent of the late, great Merle Travis.

Glenn and Roger picked and sang a number of old favorites including "Keep On The Sunny Side", "Peach Pickin' Time In Georgia", and a wonderful autobiographical tune that Glenn wrote entitled "The Sawmill Song".

Pine Ridge Bluegrass Band was up next, and they spent approximately 45 minutes performing classic after classic such as "Foggy Mountain Breakdown", "Pretty Polly", "Gold Watch And Chain" and many more. They seemed to be delighted to perform for the Pickin' Porch audience and they did an excellent job at it!

Mac Puckett And Friends finished out tonight's show by treating the crowd to some of the best pickin' and singin' ever to emanate from the Comfort Systems USA Performance Center's stage. There was an amazing amount of talent up there, and they really put on a great show!

Well, another wonderful evening of family fun and entertainment has come and gone, but next week's show promises to be one of the best you'll ever see as Mac Puckett brings his Good Company Band to town for an evening of fine Bluegrass music.
