Jim Gates and the Key Keepers of Duffield, Virginia were the first to take the Pickin' Porch stage this evening. They picked several Bluegrass standards, "Wildwood Flower" by The Carter Family, and The Judds' hit "Grandpa Tell Me 'Bout The Good Ole Days". Band members include brothers Horace, Lyle and Zane Egan, Wayne Bishop, and husband & wife duo Jim & Marilyn Gates.

The Chick-Fil-A Chicks stopped by "the porch" tonight to promote their favorite chicken sandwich and listen to some great music.

The second half of tonight's program was headlined by a band called Elkville String Band from Wilkes County, North Carolina. They have a brand new project that's just finishing up in the recording studio and it should be released in late November. The CD will be entitled "Over The Mountains", and they treated the crowd to several tunes from it. Band members are Herb Key, Jeff Michael, Drake Walsh and Bill Williams.
