Frank Carmack opened the show with announcements about the November 15th Song Of The Mountains show and the November 16th Gospel Festival at the Carter Family Fold. He then led the audience in the "Pledge To The Flag". Frank welcomed Bill Lowe and the Heritage String Band from South Carolina to the Pickin' Porch stage.

Bill Lowe and the Heritage String Band entertained the audience with lively and entertaining stories of past experiences. They played many Carter Family songs such as "Cowboy Jack", "Bring Back My Blue-Eyed Boy To Me", and "Single Girl, Married Girl". Bill did a fine job playing "Wildwood Flower" - Mother Maybelle would be proud. More can be found on these great performers at www.billlowebluegrass.com.

Penny Lowe plays bass, fiddle, and does a fine job on vocals. She is also Bill's wife.

Mike Gambrell plays fiddle.

Mike Crane on banjo.

Art Lang and Cathy Ciolac, better known as Art and Cathy, came over from Roan Mountain to play at intermission. They sang "Over The Garden Wall", "Lonesome Pine Special", and "Sailor On The Deep Blue Sea".
