Highlights from May 3, 2007
Frank Carmack filled in for Tim again tonight, and as always he did a great job keeping the crowd entertained and the show moving right along. After leading everyone in the "Pledge to the Flag", he got right down to business by introducing the first and only group of the evening...

The Skinner Family was gracious enough to fill in for Robby Spencer (who was filling in for yet another group) with only about two hours notice, and in typical Skinner fashion they started off with a barn-burning instrumental version of "John Henry". They then proceeded to pick and sing one great song after another for virtually the entire show. These wonderful folks really love to perform, and they seem to get better at it every time we see them!

The audience had a great time listening to the top-notch Bluegrass music the Skinners provided, and several dancers kept the dance floor hopping for most of the night!

Everyone received a rare treat when the usually silent Teddy Helton reluctantly agreed to step up to the microphone and sing a funny number about "Sweet Linda". Teddy's singing is always in high demand, and he did a fine job of it tonight!

Tonight's Pickin' Porch Show was jam-packed with high-quality entertainment from start to finish. The Skinner Family and Teddy Helton are extremely popular with the Pickin' Porch audience, and they came through with an outstanding show tonight. And the news gets even better: They'll all be back again next week to do it all over again! Why not come on out next Thursday evening and join us for all the fun?
