Highlights from May 31, 2007
Tim started the show in typical fashion by welcoming everyone to the Pickin' Porch, then leading us in the "Pledge to the Flag". He also spent a few minutes telling the audience about the next Song Of The Mountains concert and the 33rd annual Carter Family Memorial Festival & Craft Show (click here to view the festival schedule in PDF format).

Jim Gates & The Keykeepers kicked off the evening's entertainment by performing a heap of great old Classic Country songs such as "Lay Your Head Upon My Pillow", "Hello Walls" and the George Strait favorite "All My Ex's Live In Texas". Jim and the gang are a very talented bunch, and they really seem to love performing!

The Ball Sisters were up next, and as always they did an outstanding job pickin' and singin' several old favorites as well as a couple written by their dad Randy. I always look forward to hearing Jessica play "Back Up And Push" - and I wasn't disappointed!

Nina Ketron and her Just Friends Band returned to the Pickin' Porch stage this evening, and as usual they treated the crowd to several old favorites including "Kentucky Waltz", "Battle Of New Orleans", and the wonderful fiddle tune "Orange Blossom Special". It seems that Nina always has a big smile on her face, and she has long been a Pickin' Porch favorite!

Tonight's Pickin' Porch Show was jam-packed with two hours of non-stop family entertainment by some of the friendliest folks in the business.
