| Tim White got the show started with an
announcement about an upcoming concert in the area. The
Carter Family Fold will be having their Master
Musicians of the Crooked Road show Saturday, June 7th,
2008 beginning at 7:30. Check out

Bill
and Maggie Anderson took the stage first tonight.
The Andersons came over from Woodlawn, Virginia, and as
always they put on a great show.
Bill Anderson is a well-known luthier and certified
Martin Guitar repairman. He played a 1935 Epiphone
Archtop guitar during their rendition of "50 Miles Of
Elbow Room", a song made famous by
The Carter Family. He also used a guitar he
handcrafted during much of the show. |

| Maggie Anderson played the dobro and autoharp.
Their versions of "Wabash Cannonball", made popular
by
Roy Acuff and "Dobro Chimes" by
Brother Oswald Kirby had the crowd cheering. |

Ed Carter stopped by to tell a couple of "true
stories". |

| Next, Keeping Tradition, a fine Bluegrass
group from the Pounding Mill, Virginia area took the stage
to entertain the audience. |

| Robert Lester played guitar and sang lead on many
tunes. He got things started with the song "Swinging A 9
Pound Hammer". |

| Mitchell Van Dyke picked the banjo. He was
featured on the
Don Reno number "Banjo Riff" and the
claw-hammer tune "Rocky Island". |

| Tollie Fleming played the doghouse bass and hails
from Clintwood, Virginia, home of the
Ralph Stanley Museum. |

| Mark Baker played guitar and helped out with some
vocals. He comes from the fine town of Clinchco, Virginia. |
