Chris Hunter filled in as host tonight while Tim is off taking a much needed rest. Chris lead the crowd in the "Pledge To The Flag" and in a moment of silence for all the lives affected by what happened on September 11, 2001.

Appalachian Trail was our main entertainment this evening. They are always a Pickin' Porch favorite and always put on a great show.

This outstanding group consists of husband and wife Tommy & Vickie Austin and their good friends Matthew Cruby and Allen Hughes. They expect to release a new album in the next little bit so keep an eye out for it. They played several tunes from their upcoming CD and the audience really enjoyed themselves!

We had plenty of half-time entertainment too! Elmer Faust brought his harmonica with him to "The Porch" tonight and together with Jason Skinner, Teddy Helton, and Matthew Cruby of Appalachian Trail played several wonderful numbers including the Hank Williams hit "I Saw The Light".

Tommy Shortt from Duffield, Virginia joined them onstage to sing "Today I Started Loving You Again" among others.
